“ This is a mega, rustic, off grid site with loads of character. The pods are cosy and warm and well made. The scrub shack which features a wood fired shower is amazing and a great idea. The whole site was secure and laid out in a private way. Sarah the owner was wonderfully helpful and friendly and left us to it. If you’re looking for a back to basics (no electricity) getaway, look no further than Lahtle Wood. ”

“ We had an amazing two-night stay in the Owl Lodge. The facilities were excellent – the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking, and wood was provided for both the shower and hot tub. Helpful video guides made everything easy to use. The cabin bed was incredibly comfortable, and the Scrub Shack had all the basic amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the delicious pizzas on our first night – a lovely added bonus! The location was perfect: peaceful and easy to find, with Scarborough and Filey just a short 25-minute drive away. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, yet gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy our stay. We’d absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back! Thank you. ”

“ Amazing last minute get away, we've found our new go-to place to stay whilst visiting the East Coast. The team are so attentive and kind. The Location is so close to get to Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough. Beautiful scenery, the Pizza Nights were amazing! The lights and woodland area is magical, has everything you need and more. Bed was extremely comfortable. Hot Tub and Shower Experience was super fun creating your own source of heat with the fires. Can't wait to be back! It would be even better if you had Electric Chargers too as not many near by. Nevertheless, thank you for an amazing weekend Away! ”

“ We chose this place because we wanted to step back from the busy life we lead. The kids were not impressed when we told them there wasn’t any internet or electricity but after we arrived it was a different story. They remembered how to play again, climbed trees, played with other children and absolutely loved the place. It was so nice to see them as kids and not tech zombies even if it was only for a weekend. The accommodation as a whole was lovely and just as described. We brought oodies for the night but with temps around 12deg we didn’t need them. The location is perfect for exploring North Yorkshire, and we are already planning a trip back just as a couple for more relaxing. Thank you for Tinika and Sarah for your hospitality. ”

“ We had such a great time! What a beautiful find this place is. It’s a little piece of magic. We felt like we were in a magical fairy kingdom. I felt relaxed the moment we got to the pod. The grounds are maintained to a high standard whilst still letting nature do its thing. Beautiful woodland and wild flowers. Our children enjoyed the park and summer house located by the play area, they played on the football table together for ages. They also loved roasting marshmallows and exploring the woodland areas. Our 1 year old cockerpoo had the time of his life and he’s never been so tired since we got home. It was a wholesome experience and many life long memories were made. We will definitely return. Also the staff were very friendly and the stone baked pizzas were delicious! The GOAT pizza is probably the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Thank you for a beautiful stay. ”
