How to make the most of the changing season this September

To me September is the month for resetting routines, slowing down after a busy summer, trying new things and being present whilst we move from summer to autumn.

Reset your routine

For many, September is the start of a new school year, university, or maybe a new job. Setting a healthy routine is how as humans we operate well, we’re simpler creatures than we think sometimes! Here are some healthy habits I like to follow; Get fresh air as soon as you, either let the dog out or just simply open the bedroom window, no phone for the first hour of waking, get some endorphins flowing, either get up and exercise, walk around the garden or simply have a conversation with your loved ones.

Slow down after a busy summer

For us at Lahtle Wood Glamping, Summer is go go go, juggling the busy summer period with harvest on the farm at the same time! September always marks the time for a break and mornings to be a bit less rushed! Slowing down and enjoying little moments of quietness like your more morning coffee outside or a sreenless hour in the evening is perfect to help slow down.

Being present this Autumn

Changing of the seasons for me is always my favourite, especially autumn, the rusty autumnal colours, crisp leaves on the ground, colder mornings and birdsong changing and the song birds start to emigrate and the game birds become louder! Try to put the phone down more this September as we change seasons to really live the moments.

Try something new

September sparks new growth, so why not try new things? Have you tried off grid glamping before? Lighting fires to heat your own water? Staying in a woodland?

What will you try this Autumn and are you ready for this changing season?
